World Figure Skating Championships 2025: Full Schedule, Fixtures, Date, Time and Where, How to Watch

Get ready! The 2025 ISU World Figure Skating Championships are coming soon. Even though it will be cold inside Boston’s TD Garden starting on Wednesday, March 26, there will be plenty of exciting skating action. The United States will host the event for the first time since 2016. Boston is once again the host city. The Milano Cortina Winter Olympics are less than a year away. Expect amazing performances in Boston. Medals are at stake, and results will set entry spots. These spots are for the next World Championships and Winter Olympics.
Since 1896, the ISU World Figure Skating Championships have been hosted every year in various venues across the world, give or take a few years. Skaters from over 40 countries now compete. They vie for gold in four categories. These are Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Pairs, and Ice Dance. Over 300 million people watch each week on TV.
This is the 14th time the United States has hosted. Boston gets another chance to shine. Last time, over 100,000 fans came to Boston. Big crowds will surely come again. Nations can have up to three skaters in each event. This depends on their past World Championships results. The United States will have many skaters in Boston. They will have three in each event, except Pairs. They have two Pairs teams.
Nine years ago in Boston, the US didn’t win gold. But, the United States had two gold wins in Montreal last year. Ilia Malinin won men’s singles gold. Madison Chock & Evan Bates won the Ice Dance title. They had won it in Saitama in 2023. This brought the US to 60 World Championship gold medals. Malinin and Chock & Bates will try to win again in Boston.
Since 1896, this event has brought the best skaters together. They compete for big international titles each year.
As the 2026 Winter Olympics get closer, the 2025 World Figure Skating Championships are key. The results will determine how many athletes each country sends to the Milano-Cortina Games.
