How are countries selected for the United Cup?

The top five men’s and women’s players’ home countries are selected for the tournament based on their ATP and WTA rankings.

Based on the combined men’s and women’s rankings, the remaining teams were granted entry.

How to watch the United Cup

The Nine Network, which owns the rights to the upcoming Summer of Tennis, which includes the Australian Open, will telecast the United Cup in Australia.

For information on the broadcast, viewers from other countries should consult their local guides.

What happened to the ATP Cup?

With the Hopman Cup’s replacement in 2020, the ATP Cup has a short history of three years.

It was a male-only competition that matched countries in a team format.

The first edition was won by Team Serbia, and the other winners were Teams Russia (2021) and Canada (2022).

In the end, the ATP Cup has been superseded by the growing collaboration between the WTA and ATP tennis tours.

The United Cup’s substantial prize pool indicates the support that mixed competitions are getting as tennis places a high priority on promoting equality.

When is the Australian Open 2024?

The Australian Open will take place the next year from Sunday, January 14 to Sunday, January 28.
