The United States’ Top 5 Private Jet Manufacturers by Market Share

In recent years, there has been a notable surge in the business jet industry in the United States. There are numerous private jet management and charter businesses in the competitive industry that provide a range of services. From Jet Cards to charters and fractional ownership, business aviation offers something for everyone.

A small number of major companies control the majority of the business jet market in the United States and provide a large selection of business jets. The business jet manufacturers with the most US market share in 2023 are listed by Simple Flying. The research strictly takes into account the aircraft registered in the United States and operated in 2023, and it is based on data from JetSpy’s 2023 U.S. Business Jet Activity Report.

Hawker

Hawker is at the bottom of the list, with a 7.4% market share in the US in 2023. Additionally, the business commands a nearly 11% market share in the midsize jet segment. After going through several ownership changes, Hawker Aviation operated as Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) from 2006 to 2013. Textron Aviation offers fleet support to current aircraft from its support centers even though Hawker Aircraft manufacture has ceased.

One of the best-selling aircraft of the 1980s was the British Aerospace-developed Hawker 800. The mid-sized Hawker 800 fleet is operated by renowned private jet management and charter businesses, with over 650 examples delivered. International air forces also fly the jet.

Airbus Dassault

Dassault Aviation comes in at number four on the ranking with 8.7% of the US business aviation market share in 2023. One of the world’s oldest aviation firms is French company Dassault Aviation, which was founded in 1929. The firm, which has multiple aircraft lines in each category, is well-known in commercial and military aviation.

The most recognizable family of aircraft is the Dassault Falcon, having delivered close to 3,000 units. The tri-jet architecture of the Falcon 7X, 8X, and 9X aircraft is well-known. Over 500 long-range 9X aircraft have been produced and are in service globally for military, commercial, and humanitarian purposes.

The Bombardier

Bombardier Aerospace comes in at number three on list with a 12.5% market share of business aviation in the US in 2023. Canada’s Bombardier Aerospace produces the best business aircraft in the world. The company is well-known for producing opulent, extremely long-range corporate aircraft.

The company, which started out as a family-run enterprise in a remote area of Quebec, Canada, has become the industry leader in business aviation for innovation, luxury, and performance. The firm, with its well-liked CRJ aircraft line, is also a pioneer in the regional travel sector.

Among the company’s longest-range aircraft are the Bombardier Global 6000, 7500, and 8000. Approximately 5,000 Bombardier business aircraft are in service worldwide, according to Business Jet Travel.

Gulfstream

Gulfstream Aerospace, with 17.1% of the business aviation market share in 2023, comes in second on ranking. Gulfstream is well-known for its opulent and well equipped fleet of business jets. The organization differentiates itself from rivals by providing airplanes in nearly every category.

Gulfstream offers a variety of aircraft to suit all needs, ranging from compact mid-range models to some of the world’s longest-range models. Cessna

At the top of list, with a 35.3% market share in the US by 2023, is Cessna. Additionally, the business commands a nearly 61% market share in the midsize jet segment. For many years, Cessna has been a well-known brand in private aviation. Cessna has established a solid reputation for producing dependable aircraft for many years, ranging from tiny piston models to cutting-edge business jets. A pilot’s dream, Cessna aircraft are known for their adaptability and simplicity of operation.
