Selena Gomez now has 10 million Instagram followers while Kylie Jenner lost 1 M followers amid the TikTok drama between Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber

Do you remember last week, when Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner were tied for the most Instagram followers with approximately 380 million each? On February 22, Selena had more followers than Kylie, making her the most followed woman in the world. However, Kylie now appears to be losing followers.

Fans aren’t satisfied with Selena Gomez’s TikTok drama with Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber. Gomez has gained approximately 10.5 million (!!!) followers on Instagram in the past week thanks to the support of her fans. .

Selena Gomez had 380,644,778 followers on February 22, the day she overtook Kylie Jenner as the most followed woman on Instagram. She had 10,498,932 new followers as of March 1 at 12 p.m. EST, giving her a total of 391,143,710 followers. “Look at her now,” Selena Gomez herself stated. That is the power of the hashtag #teamselena on TikTok, which has received more than 269.6 million views.

Over the past week, Kylie Jenner’s number of followers dropped from 380 million to 379 million, according to estimates. Selena’s follower count has increased by almost 10 million in the same time period, reaching 389 million at this point.

While this could simply be a result of fans showing their support by flooding Selena’s account, Kylie’s loss of followers comes as her name is involved in the recent and somewhat exhausting TikTok drama between Selena and Hailey Bieber.

In contrast, Kylie Jenner has lost approximately half a million followers. She was said to have actually lost 1 million. However, when you look at the exact number of followers, the math is a little more generous than it appears on her profile, where she has 379 million fewer followers than before.

Kylie Jenner had 380,425,729 Instagram followers when she became the second most followed woman. She still has nearly 380 million followers or 379,938,969 of them. That is a precise difference of 486,760 followers. Therefore, Jenner has indeed lost followers, though not a staggering million.

In the tip-of-the-iceberg TikTok incident that has sparked an avalanche of fans pouring over years of questionable potential “mean girl bullying” interactions, Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner ended the drama when Jenner and Hailey Bieber were accused of disparaging Gomez’s self-described over-laminated eyebrows on their Instagram Stories.

Kylie Jenner denied taking a shot at Selena Gomez’s brows, writing, “This is reaching. No shade towards Selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts! U guys are making something out of nothing. This is silly.”

Selena Gomez commented, “Agreed @kyliejenner,” as she joined in the debunking. “It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!”

When Kylie, who is friends with Hailey, posted a picture of her eyebrow with the caption “this was an accident???,” she was basically accused of bullying Selena. Kylie’s posts came shortly after Selena claimed that she had accidentally over-laminated her brows, which is understandable if this explanation has left you in utter confusion.

In any case, Kylie actually entered the TikTok comment section to end this narrative, writing, “this is reaching. no shade towards Selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly.” In addition, Selena wrote, “Agreed @kyliejenner It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!” in response to her comment.

Therefore, there are no disagreements between these two! All right, roll the credits!

Selena Gomez briefly left TikTok following the media and fan attention she received for her additional TikTok comments about bullying. She told her fans before she left TikTok that she was too old for this drama, and she has since reactivated her account and been active on Instagram.

“I’m very happy, I’m so blessed, I have the best friends, the best fans in the whole world, and I just couldn’t be happier,” Selena Gomez said. “And I’m good. I love the way I am. I don’t care, I’m big, I’m not—I don’t care. I love who I am. And yeah, I’m gonna be taking a second from social media, because this is a little silly. And I’m 30, I’m too old for this, so. But I love you guys so much! And I will see you guys sooner than later, I just… I’m just gonna just take a break from everything.”
