Rolls-Royce launches World’s most expensive new luxury car Boat Tail

Rolls-Royce has uncovered a new ultra-exclusive bespoke model, the Boat Tail, which likewise proclaims the foundation of its coachbuilding service as a permanent fixture in the organization’s portfolio. The Rolls-Royce Coachbuild program will permit the marque’s most world class clients to commission their very own car.

The 2021 Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is a four-seater luxury car that stands 19-feet in length. It is the first Rolls-Royce vehicle to have been charged under the luxury carmaker’s new Coachbuild program. The Boat Tail car is inspired by the Rolls-Royce Sweptail car, a one-off model which was the most costly car from the luxury carmaker to date. It was sold in 2017 for 12.8 million pounds.

The name Boat Tail refers to the Rolls-Royce car’s back which is formed like a J-class racing yacht. It required over four years for Roll-Royce representatives to hand-build this car. Just three models of the 2021 Boat Tail will see the daylight.

Rolls-Royce had assembled the Sweptail car based on demand from an exceptionally wealthy European. The 2021 Boat Tail is no special case. As per Rolls-Royce, the three benefactors who coordinated with the brand’s designers to construct this super-luxury vehicle shared a single demand: “Show me something that I have never seen before.”

The cherry in the car’s design is at the back, which looks like the rear of a luxury speedboat. Under the two Caleidolegno wooden lids are housed two exquisite compartments. The lids open like butterfly wings to uncover the boot space which open up like the most refined outdoor set-up. Inside, one would track down a double champagne cooler which was customized by the owner alongside Rolls-Royce designers, to fit bottles of the benefactor’s favorite Armand de Brignac vintage. On the opposite side is a set of crockery by Christofle of Paris. Indeed, even the smallest items here are engraved with the car’s name to give them exclusivity. The onboard fridge likewise keeps the Caviar cool other than other food compartments.

There is more.

The car has an exclusive sun visor, more costly than numerous modern vehicles. It protects the occupants from the sun, for whom picnic chairs with a carbon fiber frame have been designed. Removable trays keep snacks at an agreeable height. As though this were sufficiently not, the Swiss watchmaker Bovey 1822 has made an exclusive watch for this Boat Tail. There is additionally a 15-speaker sound system that has been adjusted to use the car’s platform as a soundbox.

“What you see here in the back is probably, technically, the most refined picnic facility on Earth,” said Torsten Muller-Otvos, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Boat Tail is the climax of a four-year joint effort with three of Rolls-Royce’s “most special clients”, with name taken from a series of coachbuilt Rolls-Royces during the 1920s and 1930s.

Supposed to cost around £20 million (Dh104 million), every one of the three Boat Tail cars has been custom-built as an open-air four-seater with a rear portion designed to summon the deck of a J Class yacht, a single-masted racing boat like those used in the Americas Cup.

The first of the modern Boat Tails, in a blue hue whose particular nomenclature is known distinctly to the customer and Rolls-Royce, has a back deck that opens like butterfly wings to uncover small picnic tables and a parasol.

Every car is unique in the colors used, trim lines, and interior appointments, while different subtleties include a refrigerator to hold bottles cooled to definitely six degrees Celsius, and an aluminum-and-leather glove box sized to hold a special pen.

Rolls-Royce says assembling the three vehicles required four years of planning, with the execution requiring 1,813 totally new components. The Rolls-Royce Boat Tails have a similar 6.75-liter V12 engine that powers the Rolls-Royce Phantom, Cullinan and Ghost.

“Boat Tail is the culmination of collaboration, ambition, endeavor, and time. It was born from a desire to celebrate success and create a lasting legacy. In its remarkable realization, Rolls-Royce Boat Tail forges a pivotal moment in our marque’s history and the contemporary luxury landscape,” said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
