The Indiana Pacers will host it at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Indianapolis has hosted the All-Star Game twice; the first time it was held in the city was in 1985 at the Hoosier Dome. For the first time since 2017, the Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference format will be used in this year’s All-Star Game. TNT will broadcast the game for the 22nd year in a row. The All-Star Voting period lasted from December 19, 2023, to January 20, 2024.

There are still team captains selected for the NBA All-Star Game to guide their respective groups. The All-Star starter from each conference (LeBron James, West; Giannis Antetokounmpo, East) who received the most fan votes in his conference during the AT&T NBA All-Star Voting are the captains.
The media (25%), current players (25%), and fans (50%) vote to select the 10 starters, which are split between two guards and three frontcourt players per conference.

The top vote-getter in each conference selects the All-Star draft for the NBA All-Star Game since 2018. The traditional format of the game, which pits the Eastern Conference against the Western Conference, will return this year.
The four 12-minute quarters of the old scoring system have also been brought back by the NBA. This takes the place of the untimed fourth quarter that was in place since 2020, during which both teams competed to achieve a Final Target Score.
Teams will still compete to win every quarter, and the victorious team will get funds to donate to the charity of their choice.
The NBA declared the All-Star reserves on February 1st after releasing the complete starter voting results on January 25th.
