MTV VMA 2020: Full list of nominees for Video Music Awards

MTV has declared the nominations for the 2020 VMAs, which will broadcast live on Sunday, August 30, 2020, at 8 pm ET/PT. Ariana Grande (9), Lady Gaga (9), Billie Eilish (6), The Weeknd (6) and Taylor Swift (5) lead in nominees.

The VMAs are the first significant awards show to uncover nominations through voice Tweets, and present every single new category “Best Music Video From Home” and “Best Quarantine Performance”

“We’re excited to unveil the incredible list of VMA nominees who shaped this year’s unique musical landscape and bring fans a show that celebrates the powerful unifying force of music,” said Bruce Gillmer, President of Music, Music Talent, Programming & Events for ViacomCBS Media Networks

Starting today, fans can vote in favor of their top choices across 15 gender-neutral categories, including “Video of the Year,” “Artist of the Year,” “Best Quarantine Performance,” and more by visiting http://www.mtv.com/vma through August 23, 2020. Voting in favor of “PUSH Best New Artist,” introduced by Chime Banking, will stay active into the show on Sunday, August 30, 2020.
