Damian Prosalendis is an original. He got himself from absolute poverty to striking wealth not by listening to conventional wisdom but by guts and guile. Prosalendis was just another broke student studying at Greece’s Aristotle University of Thessaloniki when he dropped out at 19 to grow a massively successful e-Commerce consulting firm which made him a millionaire at 20. The company became the go-to choice for Amazon listings for over 10,000 businesses in 119 countries and 4 continents, from new startups to multi-million dollar brands.
At 24, the maverick millionaire now has businesses dealing in video production, digital media and business development. He also has an impressive investment portfolio of international real estate and Forex investments. Prosalendis considers the latter his biggest success to date as he managed to scale his investment earnings from $100 a day to over $10,000 a day without much effort.
While Prosalendis has faced hard times, he hasn’t really had any massive failures which goes against the accepted notion that you must fail before you succeed. “Forget about commonly held beliefs. I think it’s smarter to learn from the mistakes and the successes of others, so you won’t have to go through the same pain they went through,” he says.
This is why he stresses the importance of getting a mentor. “You need a network that grows your net worth. You cannot afford to listen to prosaic platitudes spewed by teachers and family,” Prosalendis says. To this end he created a private community for winners called New Age Conquerors, where he and his millionaire friends coach those who’re driven into success.
This success has given him the hunger for more success which is why he never plans to retire. “Working is one of the greatest joys in life. It gives your life purpose and meaning it would otherwise lack,” he says. “Retirement is a dream for people who sold their souls in exchange for a vague promise to live well in their later years, whilst sacrificing their youth living moderately comfortably and trapped in mediocrity.”
Indifferent to fame or legacy, Prosalendis would rather dedicate his life to making every moment of his life count: “Who cares about legacy? I want to live my life now. I don’t care what happens when I’m dead. I won’t be here. So it does not matter to me.”
