The top five sandwiches in the world, according to Taste Atlas, are lobster rolls from the United States, Turkey’s tombik doner, Lebanon’s shawarma, Mexico’s tortas, and Vietnam’s banh mi.
The final five on the list are German Mettbrotchen, Spanish bocadillo de cerdo, Argentinean sanguche de milanesa, United States porchetta sandwiches, and beef on weck.
Taste Atlas is a travel and culinary guide that provides reviews of restaurants and gathers local recipes from across the world. As Taste Atlas posted the list on X, they asked, “Choose your favourite?” Many people commented on the post.
The well-known sandwich, which consists of a deep-fried, crispy potato ball sandwiched between two pav or white buns, tastes best when paired with a spicy red chutney made of coconut, peanuts, tamarind, garlic, and chilies.
