Interview With Critically Acclaimed and Best-Selling Author Peter Tzemis

Meet Peter Tzemis — a critically and commercially recognized author who is someone to know and keep on your literary radar. In a recent interview, he discusses his Amazon best-seller “77 Laws Of Six Pack Abs,” provides his tips for being a successful writer, and tells what’s next on his to-do list. He discusses advice, what he does outside of writing, and reasons he was compelled to write his best-selling book.

“I used to be significantly overweight, and when I finally lost everything after years of trial and error, I wanted to write a book for my former self that would’ve made the entire process 10x faster,” he said. “The 77 Laws of Six Pack Abs is the last book you need for weight loss and getting in shape.”

Peter Tzemis’ success spans a career of him writing over dozen books. He began his writing journey in 2015, while still in college, when he wrote and self-published his first book, “Anabolic Stretching,” which went on to sell over 11,000 copies in its first few months. It was then where he realized that he could sell and market quite efficiently and saw longetivity in his career. Since then, he’s published a number of best-selling books and developed digital courses in a range of fields, including health, wellness, storytelling, and business.

Check out the interview below.

When did you write your first book?

I wrote my first book when I was 20. I was just starting my third year of university.

What do you do outside of copywriting?

When I’m not writing or building a new business, you’ll find me traveling, exploring new restaurants (I’m a foodie) or working out. I also love to go on adventures and if I’m near the ocean, I love to surf and be a beach bum.

What does your family think of writing as a career?

My family loves that I went off the beaten path and into my passion. They were a bit hesitant at first (I was a science major who dropped out to write books), but they raised me well and trust me to know what I’m doing.

What does good writing consist of?

The most surprising thing is learning that the angle and positioning matters more than how good of a writer you are. And that good writing isn’t fancy. It’s clear and easy to read. Also, this isn’t English class, you can break all the grammar rules and it doesn’t matter.

Do you have any favorite books that you have written?

I’ve probably written close to 10 books at this point. It’s hard to pick a favourite. The 77 Laws is my most successful, being a #1 best seller, but my first big hit, “Anabolic Stretching,” is what gave my career life.

Do you have any advice for upcoming authors?

Write, read a lot, and learn marketing. It’s called a best-selling book, not a best written book for a reason.

How has the reception for your best-selling book impacted you?

I get emails from readers all the time! Most of the time it’s thanking me for writing the book and how it changed their life. It’s really heart-warming and makes me want to write even more.

Is there any particular reason that compelled you to write “77 Laws of Six Pack Abs”?

I used to be significantly overweight, and when I finally lost everything after years of trial and error, I wanted to write a book for my former self that would’ve made the entire process 10x faster. The 77 Laws of Six Pack Abs is the last book you need for weight loss and getting in shape.

Do you have any upcoming plans that we can look out for?

Yes, I’ve got a few new books lined up –  One more men’s health book that will encompass my last 10 years of research in the space and be my Magnum opus in the space. I’m also working on a mental/emotional health book with a celebrity therapist and one more super secret R-rated project.
