  • Purushottam Laxman Deshpande was born in Krupal Hemraj Chawl situated on Gamdevi Street, Chowpati, Mumbai in a Gaud Saraswat Brahmin family to Laxman Trimbak Deshpande and Laxmibai Laxman Deshpande.
