FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2024: Full Schedule, Fixtures, Teams, Groups and More

The 12th FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, the premier international beach soccer competition contested by the men’s national teams of FIFA member associations, will take place in 2024. This will mark the 22nd Beach Soccer World Cup overall since the Beach Soccer World Championships were founded in 1995 and ran independently of FIFA until 2004. Up until 2009, all world cups were held annually before switching to a biennial schedule.
Originally scheduled to take place in 2023, the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was announced at the FIFA Beach Soccer Workshop in November 2017 that it would instead continue to be held every two years in odd-numbered years from 2018 to 2024. FIFA then opened the bidding process for that edition in October 2021, and the United Arab Emirates was selected as the host in December 2022.
The original schedule for the tournament was November 16, 20, and 26. To give the organizers more time to get ready for the event, the tournament was postponed from June 2023 to February 15–25, 2024. Its original 2023 branding was thus removed, and it was thereafter referred to as the 2024 edition. Dubai, which also served as the venue for the 2009 edition, will serve as the second city to host it twice.
The men’s national teams of FIFA’s member associations will compete in the 12th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, the premier international beach soccer competition, in 2024.
All things considered, this will be the 22nd World Cup in beach soccer since the founding of the Beach Soccer World Championship, which was not overseen by FIFA and ran from 1995 to 2004. Up until 2009, all World Cups were held annually; following that, they were held every two years.
The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was supposed to happen in 2023, but it was revealed at the FIFA Beach Soccer Workshop in November 2017 that it would instead continue to be played every two years in odd-numbered years, starting in 2018 and ending in 2024.
FIFA subsequently opened the bidding process for the aforementioned edition in October 2021, and the United Arab Emirates was chosen as the host nation in December 2022.
The original dates of the tournament were set for November 16, 20, and November 26, 2023. But to give the organizers more time to get ready, the tournament was moved from June 2023 to February 15–25, 2024.
Its original 2023 branding was thus eliminated, and it subsequently adopted the name 2024 edition. Dubai, which also served as the venue for the 2009 edition, will serve as the second city to host it more than once. The current victor is Russia. [Note RFU] For an indefinite amount of time, all senior Russian national teams are not allowed to compete in FIFA competitions.
The competition’s opening match is scheduled for February 15, 2024. The first game will pit Italy against the United States. There will be sixteen national teams competing in the next World Cup. Group A, Group B, Group C, and Group D are the four groups into which teams are further divided.
