Facebook is currently making changes to the way how the livestream video can be saved. According to the company’s announcement, Facebook will remove the livestream videos after 30 days. The new update will go into effect on February 19.
As part of this transition, all live videos that are now more than 30 days old will be taken off the platform. Users will be given 90 days to decide what to do with their old live content after receiving a notification before it is removed. Users have the option of converting the videos into a new reel, downloading them to their device, or storing them on the cloud.

Users will only be able to replay, download, or share livestream video for 30 days after the upgrade begins rolling out on February 19. The video will be automatically removed after the specified time and period. The videos were previously kept on Facebook indefinitely.
Facebook said in a blog post that “these changes will align our storage policies with industry standards and help ensure we are providing the most up-to-date live video experiences for everyone on Facebook.” There was no other explanation.
According to the company, live videos that are more than 30 days old will be automatically deleted from the platform on February 19. Although the deletion procedure will start today, it will be implemented gradually over the next few months. Furthermore, Facebook offers its users various options to download their previous live-streamed videos before they are permanently deleted.
The company will notify you in advance of the deletion procedure. According to the company, you have 90 days from the moment you receive the notification to download your videos. It is entirely up to you whether you want to download them, transfer them, or convert them into a reel.
Facebook will allow you to choose Defer Deletion if you would prefer that your live-streamed videos remain intact. You will be given six months to decide whether to delete your old videos as soon as you enable this option. It will be permanently deleted after six months.

You can download the video in several ways, such as Single Download, Bulk Download, Transfer Live Videos, and Convert Your Live Videos to Reels.
Individual videos are available for download from your Meta Business Suite or profile. After selecting the one you want the video to download, tap the full-screen view button. Select the “Choose Download” option now.
Click on the device’s notification and select “Download Live Videos” to download them in bulk. Choose the location for the downloaded videos. Now, After selecting the videos’ date range, click “Create File.”
By clicking on the notification, you can transfer the live videos and start the download process. Choose the destination after clicking on Transfer Live Videos. Select the linked cloud storage provider, such as Dropbox or Google Drive. Select “Save.”
You can chip certain instances from the livestreamed content, then combine them and convert them into a reel if you want to save key moments from your live videos for safety.
Facebook has made it possible for users who require more time to extend storage for a maximum of six months before permanent deletion. By using this feature, users may make sure they can back up important content before it is lost.
