Apple Plans to Release Its New iPhones, AirPods, and Watches on September 10th

Apple Inc. wants to hold its greatest product launch event of the year on Sept 10, when the organization will divulge the latest iPhones, watches, and AirPods, according to people acquainted with everything going on.

However the timing hasn’t yet been declared, the organization is getting ready for that date, which falls on a Tuesday, said the people, who asked not to be distinguished because the plans are private. In keeping with Apple’s typical strategy over the past few years, the phones will go on sale on September 20 following the unveiling.

Apple’s smartphone and wearable device sales have been sluggish in recent quarters, so this launch is crucial. A Sept. 20 arrival of the new iPhone 16 would mean a portion of the gadget’s income is kept in the current period — Apple’s fiscal fourth quarter — when the organization anticipates that deals should develop around 5% from a year sooner.

A greater chunk of sales will come in the following quarter, which corresponds with the holiday season. Revenue is expected to rise by 7% to $128.4 billion during that time, according to analysts.

The Pro models of the iPhone 16 will have larger screens and new camera features like a button just for taking pictures. Apple Intelligence is a suite of artificial intelligence tools that the company is also releasing. However, the phones won’t significantly differ from those of last year.

In the meantime, Apple’s wearable devices are slated for larger changes. The models of the Apple Watch Series 10 will be smaller but have larger screens. Additionally, new low-end and mid-range AirPods models are being added to Apple’s AirPods lineup. The company will provide noise cancellation for the first time on its mid-level AirPods, and the entry-level model will be updated for the first time since 2019.

Additionally, the company intends to begin using M4 processors in its Macs later this year; however, Mac updates typically do not arrive until about a month after the annual iPhone launch.

Keeping that in mind, the organization has sloped up testing of four new Mac models to guarantee similarity with third-party applications, as per developer test logs seen by Bloomberg News. That is a vital stage preceding launching the new machines. The Macs that seemed are named with the identifiers “16,1,” “16,2,” “16,3” and “16,10.”

They all represent models with base-level versions of the M4 chip. The central processing units, or CPUs, of three of the Macs have 10 total cores, while one of the lower-end models has eight total cores, which is a performance indicator. GPUs, or graphics engines, with 10 cores are included in the versions with 10-core CPUs. In contrast, the graphics engine on the model with an eight-core CPU has eight cores. All of them have memory capacities of 16 or 32 gigabytes.

The iPad Pro’s M4 processor has the same specifications as the 10-core CPU, which includes six cores optimized for efficiency and four high-performance parts. However, the developer logs show that the fourth chip only has eight total cores, with four high-performance and four efficiency cores.
