Antonia Stephenson II talks Entrepreneurship Vs. Employment

Investor, Antonia Stephenson II of Raleigh, North Carolina, has a message he wants to send to the entire world. “You don’t have to be an Entrepreneur but you have to be an investor”, he says. “I see so many debates on social media with the argument between which is better, employee vs entrepreneurship and it’s all BS, he adds.

Recently in the past decade, with the increase of so many “Instagram Celebrities”, the message of going to a good school and getting a good job is no longer the primary narrative. As technology advances and the use of social media increases, we’re seeing a lot more “overnight successes” and Guru’s encouraging you to quit your job to go all in on your dream at their $30,000 seminars. Stephenson believes that statistics speak for themselves, most businesses fail in the first 12 months so it’s safe to say that the writing is on the wall when it comes to running a business, the likely hood of failing in the first year is high. Stephenson’s addresses the fact that that shouldn’t be a reason you don’t get started, he says starting his own business has been the greatest personal development journey he could have ever embarked on. He just wants to shed light on the fact that you can be a regular employee and still be an investor who owns real estate, stocks, or are Joint Venture partners in other deals.

“Some people just legit don’t find running a business amusing to them and that’s okay. Not everybody wants to hire and fire people, not everyone wants to deal with the anxiety of wondering how bills are going to get paid because your income is solely based on you, and the list goes on, but that shouldn’t stop people from understanding how to invest in real estate and the stock market is my point” Stephenson explains.

If you look you ever had any interest on where you should start with Stocks, he highly recommends everyone taking advantage of the free education on TD Ameritrade’s website and if you’re interested in Real Estate he recommends joining Biggerpockets.com and listing to their podcast, that is also recorded in video form on Youtube.

Stephenson has made it very clear that his mission is to educate people on financial literacy and start making conversations about saving and investing normal for the people who feel lost and out of touch with how money really works.
