2020 NFL Draft: First Round Results
While all matches on the field are still on the stop, everyone’s eyes go to the 2020 NFL Draft, which starts today at 5 p.m. PT furthermore, experiences Saturday. Day 1 of the 2020 NFL Draft is in the books. The Patriots closed up making no selections in the first round, as Bill Belichick selected to trade down from pick 23 to get picks 37 and 71.
The Patriots are presently in line to make the fifth pick in the second round on Saturday. Belichick still has 13 picks to work with. Additionally, expect a far, far busier day for New England in rounds 2 and 3.
2020 NFL Draft First Round
- Cincinnati Bengals – Pick No. 1
The Cincinnati Bengals have formally chosen quarterback ‘Joe Burrow’ out of LSU with the No. 1 overall pick. Easy decision for the Bengals and was at that point known to be the move. However, the virtual setting causes you to acknowledge how little these teams need to hold up at the top of the draft. Also, more space for the B.S. to relax. In any case, prepare for more than three hours of this.
- Washington Redskins – Pick No. 2
The Washington Redskins select Ohio State defensive end ‘Chase Young’ with the second overall pick. His ceiling is that of a first-class pass-rusher who competes for All-Pro honors every year.
- Detroit Lions – Pick No. 3
The Detroit Lions select cornerback ‘Jeff Okudah’ out of Ohio State with the third overall pick in the draft.
- New York Giants – Pick No. 4
The New York Giants select tackle ‘Andrew Thomas’ from Georgia with the fourth overall pick. NFL.com graded Thomas as the third-best offensive tackle in the current year’s class.
- Miami Dolphins – Pick No. 5
The Miami Dolphins select Alabama QB ‘Tua Tagovailoa’ with the No. 5 overall pick.
Tua gets an opportunity to be as powerful as any QB in the league with his ability to both throw and run the ball and his skill for big turning points. A previously troubling list of genuine injuries and left-handedness make him somewhat of a long-term hazard and an unusual player to work around. Be that as it may, the Patriots will get a front-row seat to Tua’s advancement with him coming to Miami and potentially considering New England twice as a rookie.
- Los Angeles Chargers – Pick No. 6
The Los Angeles Chargers have distinguished their next taken shots at a franchise quarterback. They select Oregon QB ‘Justin Herbert’ with the No. 6 overall pick.
- Carolina Panthers – Pick No. 7
The Carolina Panthers select Auburn defensive tackle ‘Derrick Brown’ with the No. 7 overall pick.
- Arizona Cardinals – Pick No. 8
The Arizona Cardinals select Clemson linebacker ‘Isaiah Simmons’ with the No. 8 overall pick.

- New York Jets – Pick No. 11
The New York Jets select Louisville tackle ‘Mekhi Becton’ with the No. 11 overall pick.
Becton is a freak with wicked speed and athleticism for a 6-foot-7, 360-pound gentleman. If Sam Darnold works out at quarterback, the Jets may have discovered their wall of a human to close his vulnerable side.
- Las Vegas Raiders – Pick No. 12
The Las Vegas Raiders select Alabama wide receiver ‘Henry Ruggs III’ with the twelfth overall pick.
This receiver class is considered the deepest in quite a while, and Ruggs is leading the board at 12. You can expect at least a couple more wideouts to go in the first round. It would be amazing if the Pats went to that position in the first round for a second consecutive year.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Pick No. 13
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Iowa offensive tackle ‘Tristan Wirfs’ with the No. 13 overall pick. Assurance for Tom Brady.
Tampa surrendered a fourth-round pick for the ability to move together with a spot and get Wirfs. So you can anticipate that he should play a significant role before Brady as a rookie.
Trade Alert!
The NFL’s Ian Rapoport tweeted that the Buccaneers moved up to the thirteenth pick in a trade with the 49ers. San Francisco traded picks 13 and 245 for 14 and 117, per ESPN’s Field Yates.
- San Francisco 49ers – Pick No. 14
The San Francisco 49ers select South Carolina defensive tackle ‘Javon Kinlaw’ with the fourteenth overall pick.

The Dallas Cowboys select wide receiver ‘CeeDee Lamb’ out of Oklahoma with the seventeenth overall pick.

That is the second time an AFC East team targets offensive line help for their young quarterbacks in the first round.
- Las Vegas Raiders – Pick No. 19
The Las Vegas Raiders select cornerback ‘Damon Arnette’ out of Ohio State with the nineteenth overall pick.
Additionally, as part of this selection, Goodell reported that Las Vegas will have the 2022 NFL Draft.
- Jacksonville Jaguars – Pick No. 20
The Jacksonville Jaguars select LSU linebacker ‘K’Lavon Chaisson’ with the twentieth overall pick.
