Journey and Def Leppard’s Upcoming Tour Dates
Journey and Def Leppard, two members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, will embark on a stadium concert tour of North America in 2024. The 23-city tour kicks off at Busch Stadium in St. Louis on July 6 and ends at Coors Field in Denver on September 8.
Next summer in Chicago, two legendary rock bands will share the stage for one incredible night.
Wrigley Field will be a stop on Def Leppard and Journey’s Summer Stadium Tour 2024, which was announced on Friday.
Steve Miller and his band, a fellow member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, will open for the tour on all but seven dates.
For the seven performances that Miller is not performing, Cheap Trick and Heart, which is co-led by Ann and Nancy Wilson, will alternate as the opening acts. Both are Rock Hall inductees.
The tour will make a stop at Boston’s Fenway Park on August 5, and Heart will be participating in the events.
“We shall hit the boards running with a brand-new stage show and set of songs that will celebrate specific parts of our history,” Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott said in a statement released Thursday. “We may even have a surprise or two up our sleeves ….”
The company AEG Entertainment is marketing the tour. The cost of the tickets was kept secret.
The general public can purchase tickets for all of the Def Leppard/Journey tour dates starting on December 15 at 10 a.m. local time at ticketmaster.com. At 10 a.m. on Saturday, registration for presale tickets becomes available at defleppardjourney2024.com.
At citientertainment.com, a presale for Citi cardholders will start next Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time.
Starting at 10 a.m. local time on Thursday, the venue will be presaled online.
VIP packages will be available via the websites of Journey and Def Leppard. These packages do not yet have a set price.
The Steve Miller Band will be the special guest at the July 15, 2024, performance.
“Hysteria,” “Love Bites,” “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” and other hits are among Def Leppard’s classics.
Top Journey songs like “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Wheel in the Sky,” “Any Way You Want It,” and others are probably well-known to most people.
Tour officials have announced that members of the Rock Brigade Concert Club will have priority access to pre-sale tickets and VIP packages on December 12 starting at 10 a.m. via this link.
On Friday, December 15, general public tickets will go on sale.
Even though it will be 2024 next year, fans of 1980s glam metal are in for a trip down memory lane.
Famous rock groups Journey and Def Leppard are scheduled to go on a 23-city stadium tour in the summer of 2024, which will start on July 6 and end on September 8.
For 16 of the 23 shows, including the one set for July 15 at Chicago’s Wrigley Field, The Steve Miller Band will accompany the two groups.
Heart or the Rockford-based Cheap Trick are scheduled to support the two bands on the tour’s remaining dates.
The icons of the 1980s have several more Midwest shows planned in addition to their performance at Wrigley Field.
On July 6, the tour will begin at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Additional dates for the tour include Detroit, Cleveland, and Minneapolis.
Tickets for the general public will go on sale on Friday, December 15 at 10 a.m. local time. Pre-sale registration is now open.
