2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Baptist Health 200 at Homestead Miami Speedway Race Preview, Prediction, Schedule, Entry List, Drivers to Watch and How to Watch

The Baptist Health 200 is scheduled for Friday, March 21, 2025, and the NASCAR Truck Series will be stopping by Homestead for qualifying. Homestead-Miami Speedway will host the sixth official race weekend of the 2025 Cup Series season, and NASCAR is ready for the action. In 2024, Tyler Reddick defeated Ryan Blaney and Denny Hamlin with a spectacular last-lap pass. You won’t want to miss the action because the track will host all three NASCAR levels!

This week, the Craftsman Truck Series will make its way back to Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Baptist Health 200, which was won by Corey Heim in Las Vegas last week. This is the fourth race of the season, and the question is on everyone’s mind, can anyone beat Corey Heim?

Everyone will start qualifying for their starting position from one lap around the Homestead-Miami Speedway, and the race will consist of 134 laps and 201 miles of competitive racing at the iconic Florida track.

This season has already seen three Truck Series events, with races at Daytona, Atlanta, and Las Vegas. Corey Heim has two wins in the No. 11 Toyota after beating Grant Enfinger to the black and white checkered flag by under a second last time out.

Two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch is the other Truck Series winner this season, joining him on that list after his win at Atlanta in February and this weekend, we might add another Cup Series champion to the 2025 winner’s list as Kyle Larson will be racing in the No. 5 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet. Larson has won three Truck races in his career and is aiming for number four on Friday night.

As we get to Homestead, Ty Majeski is the current leader of the NASCAR Truck Series standings, with Heim, Enfinger, and Chandler Smith close to him.

With that out of the way, let’s jump into everything you might want to know leading into qualifying and how to watch everything live.

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Baptist Health 200: Preview and Predictions

The fourth race of the season, The Baptist Health 200, is shaping up to be a heater of a race. Corey Heim is once again establishing his dominance on the field, and new contenders are showing their faces as well. Can anyone beat the #11 truck this weekend?

The Baptist Health 200 gives competitors 134 laps around the 1.5-mile course located in Homestead, Florida. Stage cautions will fall on lap 30, lap 60, and final lap on lap 134. This is the fourth race of the 2025 Craftsman Truck Series season. The total purse for the event is $782,900.

The Track: Homestead-Miami Speedway

The Homestead-Miami Speedway is a 1. 5-mile oval track with progressive banking was constructed in 1993 and opened in 1995. Homestead is a favorite track of drivers and fans has 18 degrees on the bottom line and 20 degrees against the fence. It tears the fence and offers fans exciting options with its grooves.

In 1996, the inaugural Craftsman Truck Series race took place and Dave Rezendes won. Kyle Busch currently holds the record for most wins with three followed by Todd Bodine with two and a seven-way tie for third with one. In 2018, Justin Haley set the Truck Series lap record of 32.48 seconds.

The preliminary entry list for Friday night’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Baptist Health 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway shows 34 trucks. This is the fourth race of the 25-race 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.

No drivers or teams will leave the racetrack after qualifying this weekend as the NASCAR Rule Book allows up to 36 trucks to start races in the series.

Last weekend Corey Heim won his 13th NASCAR Truck Series race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He will be driving the No. 11 TRICON Garage Safelite-sponsored Toyota Tundra TRD Pro.

This week’s entry list features some noteworthy driver/team combinations. Brandon Jones a regular in the NASCAR Xfinity Series is one of the prominent entries. He will be driving the No. 1 entry for TRICON Garage. On Friday night the driver will start the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for the first time at Homestead.

Among the other noteworthy Baptist Health 200 entries are Nathan Byrd (No. 02-Youngs Motorsports), Stephen Mallozzi (No. 2 – Reaume Brothers Racing), Kyle Larson (No. 07 – Spire Motorsports), Corey Day (No. 7 – Spire Motorsports), Stefan Parsons (No. 20 – Young’s Motorsports), Ross Chastain (No. 44 – Niece Motorsports), Akinori Ogata (No. 63 – Akinori Performance), TBA (No. 66 – ThorSport Racing), and TBA (No. 67 – Freedom Racing Enterprises).

Drivers To Watch

Two Cup Series drivers are competing this weekend. Larson, Kyle Larson, and Ross Chastain. Larson will race the #07 with Spire Motorsports and Chastain the #44 Chevy for Niece Motorsports. For TRICON Garage Brandon Jones is competing in the field. Larson’s mentee Corey Day is competing for Spire as well.

It is difficult not to pick Larson as a lock for the race when he is in the field but he hasn’t competed in a truck race since North Wilkesboro in 2023. But he prevailed in that race.

Heim is bound to be the most skilled Tundra on the track in the field. As the last winner in this series, Grant Enfinger will likely defend his victory for Chevrolet. To defend his title 2022 winner and 2024 Truck Series champion Ty Majeski is seeking his first victory in 2025 however he is not the only fast Ford in the series this year. Chandler Smith and Layne Riggs, Front Row Motorsports trucks, have been a sight to behold lately.
