“Tonight the JANE’S camp is over the moon, as we’re finally able to announce U.K., European headline and festival shows,” frontman Perry Farrell of JANE’S ADDICTION said in a statement.
“It has been far too long, my JANE’S ADDICTION family. We can’t wait to see your faces again (well look at you).. singing songs, and soaring to the moon in a new rocket. Togetherness- roll on 2024!”

A new song called “True Love” by JANE’S ADDICTION was premiered during the band’s March 5 concert in Bakersfield, California.
The song “True Love” was apparently written by Farrell, bassist Eric Avery, and drummer Stephen Perkins with help from touring guitarist Josh Klinghoffer. It is currently unknown if it will be included in the upcoming studio album by JANE’S ADDICTION.
As previously mentioned, Dave Navarro, the guitarist for Jane’s Addiction, is missing the band’s performances because of his ongoing fight with long-term COVID. Klinghoffer, a former member of RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS who also records with Eddie Vedder and plays with PEARL JAM, will take his place at the gigs.
Before the band participated in the South American Lollapalooza festivals, the Farrell-fronted group announced a run of West Coast dates in January. The group had just finished a fall 2022 U.S. tour with SMASHING PUMPKINS.
Because he struggled with extended COVID, Navarro missed the fall 2022 tour. Troy Van Leeuwen of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE took his place at the shows.
“Spirit On Fire” was the first JANE’S ADDICTION tour with original bassist Avery backstage in over ten years. Before this most recent tour, Avery had only performed briefly with the group in the 2000s before leaving once more in 2010.
It wasn’t simple, according to Farrell, to find Navarro’s temporary replacement in the fall of 2022. “At first, there was a lot of weight on my shoulders,” he said. “This was our return tour right after COVID, and we didn’t have Dave. JANE’S is a unique band, and you can’t just grab any guitar player and they’ll pick it up. That’s Dave Navarro we’re talking about — those are big shoes to fill.”
Farrell was hurt during the tour, so JANE’S ADDICTION had to postpone a few shows, but he still called it “one of the best tours of my life. I just loved at the end of the show seeing how many happy people there were,” he told. “We got to them, and that’s the best feeling in the world.”
The tour, which is scheduled for May through July of next year, will take the venerable American rock group throughout mainland Europe and the UK. It will culminate with a headline show at the Bearded Theory Festival at Derbyshire’s Catton Park.
Following their massive tour with Smashing Pumpkins last year, the run of live performances will be the legendary alternative rock band’s first headline dates throughout the UK and Europe in eight years.
The 2024 performances will begin with a run of tour dates in the UK and run through May and June. These begin on May 27 and 29 with two shows at the Roundhouse in London and then go on to Glasgow on May 31 and Manchester on June 2.
Following that, Perry Farrell and the company will start their tour of Europe, which will begin on June 6 at Hamburg’s Große Freiheit. Several festival sets are also scheduled for the summer, in addition to other headline shows throughout Europe, such as appearances in Cologne, Paris, and Luxembourg.
“Tonight the Jane’s camp is over the moon, as we’re finally able to announce UK, European headline, and festival shows. It has been far too long- my Jane’s Addiction family,” said Farrell of the new tour dates. “We can’t wait to see your faces again, (well look at you).. singing songs, and soaring to the moon in a new rocket. Togetherness- roll on 2024!”

The new 2024 tour dates will mark not only their first performances since their massive tour with Smashing Pumpkins last year but also their first run of European dates since Eric Avery returned to the lineup in August.
The news was revealed last year when the frontman hinted at new music being released, and the original lineup was reunited for the first time since Avery stopped touring.
It will be their first new music since the 2011 studio album “The Great Escape Artist” if the new material proves to be a full album. The album was released 12 years ago, and in that time the band has released several live albums and the stand-alone single “Another Soulmate” in 2013.
‘True Love,’ a new song by the band, was unveiled live in California earlier this year.
In addition to the spring and summer headline dates, Jane’s Addiction will formally announce their comeback to the UK with a headline performance at the Bearded Theory festival.
This year’s 15th-anniversary edition of the event is scheduled for May 23–26 at Catton Hall in Derbyshire. The band will be performing with Future Islands, Amyl And The Sniffers, Sleaford Mods, Orbital, Dinosaur Jr. (exclusive to the UK), and Bob Vylan.
