2023–2024 Paddy Power World Darts Championship Fixtures, Full Schedule, Qualified Players, Format, Prizes and More

Alexandra Palace will host the Paddy Power World Darts Championship once more from December 15, 2023, to January 3, 2024.

The world’s top darts players will travel to London for the prestigious event, and thousands of fans will visit Ally Pally every year.

Alexandra Palace will once again come alive with the great darts festival from December 15, 2023, to January 3, 2024. Check out the World Darts Championship 2024 playing schedule here.

The World Darts Championship is divided into two stages as usual. The first two rounds are finished in the first nine days of competition. After Christmas, the 32 players who are left compete in the remaining rounds of the World Darts Championship.

The current champion opens the action on the first night, as has become a tradition. ‘BullyBoy’ Michael Smith will begin the defence of his title this time around against the winner of the tournament’s opening match, who could be either Kevin Doets or Stowe Buntz. Simon Whitlock, a previous world finalist, will also face Paolo Nebrida on the opening night.

The seeds in action on the first Saturday are Dave Chisnall and Gary Anderson. Joe Cullen will wrap up the opening weekend on Sunday afternoon, and pre-tournament favorite Luke Humphries will play either Lee Evans or Sandro Eric Sosing on Sunday night. During that session, Fallon Sherrock will also be back at the Palace, looking to further his legacy against Jermaine Wattimena.

On Monday the 18th, Gerwyn Price makes his debut; on Tuesday the 19th, James Wade and Michael van Gerwen highlight their respective sessions. Round one concludes on Thursday afternoon, the 21st; the final games before Christmas are round two showcases, featuring Ross Smith and Peter Wright on the 20th.

The competition heats up after Christmas and comes to a head on Wednesday, January 3, when the PDC World Darts Champion of the future will be crowned.

With the 96 players divided into four quarters, they can strategize how to get to the championship match.

The 32 qualified Pro Tour players face the international qualifiers in the first round, with the top 32-seeded players joining the competition in the second round.

There won’t be a tie-break in first-round matches; instead, the fifth leg will be sudden-death if the fifth set ends in a two-all score.

All matches starting in the Second Round will follow the tie-break rule, which requires a decisive set to be won by two clear legs. A sudden-death leg will be played if the score in the decisive set reaches 5-5.

In any sudden-death legs, there would be no throw for the bull.
